VIDEO About the presenter
Melissa is a designer, maker and all-around nice girl who has recently developed an obsession with the startup world. After 10 years of working an unfulfilling job in the corporate, in-house environment, she escaped to what ended up being her dream career as the designer for tech startup Curalate, the marketing suite for the visual web. In addition, Melissa has been a speaker at HOW Design Live and is currently an organizer of Startup Weekend in Philadelphia.
Melissa's likes include long walks on the beach, retractable erasers, peanut butter, indie rock, plaid, Instagram, karaoke, margaritas and a worn-in pair of chucks. Her dislikes include snark, wind, PowerPoint, vegetables, unloading the dishwasher, making logos bigger, PMS 349 and writing bios.
