About the Presenter:

Maira Kalman is one of the best-loved illustrators working today. She has been involved in multiple aspects of art and design for almost forty years.

Self-taught, she has authored twelve children's books, has illustrated the "Elements of Style" and authored two blogs for The New York Times, "The Principles of Uncertainty" which was subsequently published as a book, and "And The Pursuit of Happiness" will be published later in October. A picture book for young readers, "13 Words," with the author Daniel Handler, will also be available in October.
